USDA Rural Development is accepting applications for its Distance Learning and Telemedicine (DLT) Grant Program, which provides increased access to education, training, and healthcare resources in rural areas.

The Distance Learning and Telemedicine Grant Program finances telecommunications equipment, computer networks, and advanced technologies for use by students, teachers, medical professionals, and rural residents. Grants range from $50,000 to $500,000.

Applications are due by Monday, March 14, 2016. For more details about DLT Grant Program funding and the application process, see page 1388 of the January 12, 2016 Federal Register.

Webinars Available in January and February 2016

On January 27, February 2, and February 18, 2016, at 1-3 pm EST, the Rural Utilities Service (RUS) will host webinars focused on the DLT Grant Program. These webinars will inform participants about the major eligibility and regulatory requirements of the program and will provide detailed guidance on how to submit a successful grant application. There will also be time for participants to ask specific questions about putting together an application.

Due to the limited space available for each session, interested parties must preregister with RUS. Space for each session will be reserved in the order in which the requests are received by RUS.

To preregister, please contact Deborah Anderson or Gayle Buckner at (202) 720-0800 or email Deborah.Anderson@wdc.usda.gov and Gayle.Buckner@wdc.usda.gov. Contact us soon to ensure you can attend the workshop that works best for your schedule!

For additional details, see the DLT webinar flyer. The webinar log-in information will be provided prior to the scheduled workshop sessions.
