Noel LaRoque
Acting State Director for Idaho
LaRoque currently serves as the USDA Rural Development Deputy State Director and most recently served as the Community Programs Director for Idaho.
Noel remains committed to helping improve the quality of life in Idaho's rural communities and has been instrumental in supporting infrastructure developments on various rural projects including clean water systems, sewer and waste management, healthcare facilities, fire stations, assisted living centers, and more.
Prior to that, Noel served as the RD Idaho State Civil Engineer, providing technical oversight for rural programs related to Water & Waste, Community Facilities, Housing Programs, and Business Programs.
In his off time, he and his wife Mandee enjoy whitewater rafting, skiing, hiking, biking along the greenbelt and traveling. His kids sparked an interest in ice hockey which he began participating in and continues to play today. Whenever he has a chance, he enjoys hanging out with his two kids and two grandkids who live in the Boise area.
“When I started 20+ years ago I did not anticipate being employed here for more than a couple of years. I’m still here which is directly related to the quality of Rural Development's mission and the dedicated people who work for the agency.”
