State Director for Georgia
Reggie Taylor is the State Director for Georgia USDA Rural Development. He joined the agency in 2015 as the Georgia Community Economic Development Specialist. As the CED Specialist his focus was to build collaborations with various rural communities to facilitate the use of Rural Development program and funds to promote affordable housing, provide community facilities, work in partnership on main street activities, and support water & waste infrastructure projects.
Prior to joining USDA, he served as City Manager for the City of East Point, GA and the held the position as Executive Director of the Marietta Redevelopment Corporation in Marietta, GA.
Professionally, he has over 25 years of community and economic development experience. He holds a Master of Science in Business Management and Organizational Leadership from Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, WI and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. He received the Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP) designation in 2012 from the National Development Council.
