USDA Announces ReConnect Broadband Project in Eastern Nevada

High-speed broadband internet e-Connectivity will benefit 273 residences


(Carson City, Nev.- Feb. 20, 2020) – The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Nevada State Director for Rural Development Philip Cowee will make an important funding announcement in Montello, Nev. on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2020. 

WHO:            State Director Philip Cowee to participate in ReConnect Announcement Ceremony

WHAT:          USDA Rural Development will announce a small but vital Reconnect Pilot Program broadband investment that will benefit the Montello, Pilot Peak, Burbank, and Pleasant Valley areas located along the eastern border of Nevada in Elko and White Pine counties. USDA funding will increase e-connectivity, bringing high-speed internet to over 273 homes in eastern Elko and White Pine Counties and will support emergency response capability in the area.

WHERE:       Montello Community Center, 4th and A Streets, Montello, Nevada. Montello is located 1 ½ hours northeast of Elko along State Route 233.
