Making Energy Work for Your Rural Business

 

USDA Rural Development Montana State Director Anthony “Tony” Preite and Brent Donnelly USDA Rural Development Montana Business-Cooperative Program Director and the Montana Department of Environmental Quality, invite you to attend the “Making Energy Work for Your Rural Business” workshop. The workshop will be in Billings on Thursday, February 19th.

Presenting along with USDA Rural Development will be MT Dept. of Environmental Quality, Yellowstone Valley Electric Cooperative, Beartooth Electric Cooperative, Beartooth RC&D, and National Center for Appropriate Technology (NCAT), Big Sky EDA, Small Business Administration (SBA), and MT Dept. of Agriculture Growth Through Agriculture, and Green Grants.

Please consider joining us for this special meeting at the Yellowstone Room at the Fairgrounds, 308 6th Ave North Billings, MT on Thursday, February 19th, from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm. 

For many businesses, energy costs are some of their highest variable expenses.  This workshop will spotlight how businesses from Montana have realized a return on investment as a result of improvements with the help of these programs. Rural business owners, agriculture producers, and system installers will take away tools, templates, and business case studies to make their energy efficiency improvements or renewable energy system become a reality.

Detailed presentations on funding programs will be followed by questions and answers. One-on-one consultation with program experts will also be available.

The USDA-Rural Development Business-Cooperative Program Director and staff will be available to speak with media following the workshop.

USDA Rural Development invested more than $302,000,000 in Montana during FY 14.

Over the last six years USDA Rural Development has provided Montana with more than $2.1 Billion in funding.
