Athens, GA, Nov. 7, 2017 – The U. S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Service Center in Wayne County is hosting a disaster assistance and hurricane recovery workshop on November 16, 2017, at 3:00 pm at the Performing Arts Center Banquet Hall located at 2140 East Oglethorpe Highway, Hinesville, Georgia. The event is free and open to the public. Representatives from USDA’s Farm Service Agency, Natural Resources Conservation Service, Risk Management Agency, and Rural Development will present information on the various disaster assistance programs and resources available for farmers, ranchers, and rural communities.
