Nebraska Collaborative Rural Health Funding Summit in Kearney January 19th

Healthcare providers, administrators and financing officials are encouraged to attend the Nebraska Collaborative Rural Health Funding Summit on January 19, 2017 in Kearney, Nebraska.  Key federal, state, and private-sector partners will lead the summit to help link rural health care organizations with financing they need to adopt Health IT.

The summit will be at CHI Health-- Good Samaritan, 10 E 31st Street in Kearney, Nebraska.  Registration begins at 8 a.m. with the summit following from 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.  To register, please visit: https://neruralhealthfundingsummit.eventbrite.com

The event will offer a great opportunity for healthcare providers and organizations to sit down with funders to express needs and identify resources.  Agenda segments include Rural Healthcare Landscape in Nebraska; Financing, Broadband and Technical Assistance Available to Rural Health Care Providers in the State; and All-Hands Problem-Solving Workshop. 

Summit goals include:

  • Identify the most pressing funding needs for each participating clinic and hospital in attendance,

  • Engage in face-to-face problem solving and

  • Assist the participants in making substantive progress developing their funding applications.

Leading partners in support of the summit include the Federal Office of Rural Health Policy, the Great Plains Telehealth Resources and Assistance Center, the Nebraska Office of Rural Health, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and USDA Rural Development.  These partners are committed to developing innovate ways to use existing resources, both public and private, to help Nebraska’s rural health care providers support Health IT needs.
