USDA Rural Development announces that the South Sioux City Community Foundation, Inc. is the recipient of a nearly $2.6 million loan that will enable the construction of a new fire station in South Sioux City.
“Rural Development funds will be used to build a 12,225 square foot fire station in South Sioux City,” said USDA Rural Development Community Programs Specialist, Luann Brown. “The fire station will encompass four standard drive through bays, wash bays, office space and sleeping areas.”
“The South Sioux City Foundation is excited to be able to be the conduit for this important safety initiative for our community. The new state of the art fire station will benefit our community for decades to come. This USDA loan provides the necessary funding and orderly amortization of the indebtedness for this important community betterment project,” said Bart Gotch, president of the South Sioux City Foundation.
