Bruce Jones, United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development South Dakota Acting State Director today announced that Stephanie Wood has joined the South Dakota USDA Rural Development team as a loan technician and will be stationed in the Aberdeen Office.
“Stephanie brings a wealth of community experience to the Agency and it will be advantageous to her has she assists with carrying out our mission to bring economic opportunity and enhanced quality of life to rural communities and residents,” said Jones.
Wood holds a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Finance with a minor in Management Information Systems from Northern State University. Her previous experience includes working in the financial world for 14 years with a concentration on the mortgage aspect for the last 12 years. Wood and her husband, Dan, reside in Warner with their three children Zach, Reagan, and Parker. Wood shared that she and her husband enjoy keeping up with her kids’ school and extracurricular activities.
“I’m glad to be a part of the South Dakota team and look forward to the opportunity to share my knowledge and expertise,” said Wood.
