The Storey County Board of County Commissioners honored the partnership between USDA Rural Development and the County on Dec. 6 during the County Commission meeting. During an emotional presentation, Storey County staff presented an Extraordinary Partnership award to USDA RD Nevada State Director Sarah Adler.
The plaque reads, "presented to the Nevada USDA Rural Development Office, on behalf of Storey County to honor the partnership that has proven to be a tremendous asset to Storey County and its communities.
The entire staff of the Nevada State Office of USDA Rural Development has consistently demonstrated excellence in professional and regional leadership, outstanding initiative, inspiration and organizations skills which has produced significant results directly benefiting Storey County."
State Director Sarah Adler thanked the commission for the award, and applauded the county's efforts to drive high tech economic development in the region. "Your leadership is prominent in the region, and we are so grateful for this partnership and our extraordinary working relationship," Adler said.
