Investment to Help Tribal Colleges Make Infrastructure Improvements and Purchase Equipment
Bozeman, Mont., October 20, 2020 – The Trump Administration today announced that the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) is investing $1,169,734 in the seven Tribal Colleges in rural Montana. Chief Dull Knife College in Lame Deer was awarded $161,200 through USDA Rural Development’s Tribal College Initiative Grant program.
Chief Dull Knife College received $161,200 to make improvements to the campus STEM lab, as well as purchase equipment to assist in grounds and building maintenance and repairs. Over the last 10 years, USDA has supported Montana Tribal Colleges with over $11 million in direct grants to support campus facilities, equipment and infrastructure.

USDA Rural Development provides loans and grants to help expand economic opportunities and create jobs in rural areas.
