Investment to Help Tribal Colleges Make Infrastructure Improvements and Purchase Equipment
Bozeman, Mont., October 20, 2020 – The Trump Administration today announced that the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) is investing $1,169,734 in the seven Tribal Colleges in rural Montana. Salish-Kootenai College in Pablo was awarded $161,200 through USDA Rural Development’s Tribal College Initiative Grant program.
“I’m pleased to announce the Trump Administration’s recent investment in Salish-Kootenai College. Salish, Kootenai & Pend d'Oreilles students will enjoy campus improvements that will contribute to their educational success,” said Montana State Director Charles Robison. “Under the leadership of President Trump, USDA has been working tirelessly to be a strong partner to Indian Country because we know that when Montana Tribal communities thrive, all of Montana thrives.”

USDA Rural Development provides loans and grants to help expand economic opportunities and create jobs in rural areas.
