Investment to Help 32 Thousand with Renewable Energy Resources
WARSAW, N.C. October 27, 2020 – The Trump Administration today announced that the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) is investing $35 million in rural North Carolina.
“Rural Americans will benefit from these renewable energy resources,” said USDA Rural Development State Director Robert Hosford. “Under the leadership of President Trump and Agriculture Secretary Perdue, USDA has been working tirelessly to be a strong partner to rural North Carolina in building stronger and healthier communities, because we know when rural America thrives, all of America thrives.”
In rural North Carolina, Carbon Cycle N.C. will use a $35 million loan to investment will be used for the purchase and installation of an anaerobic digestion and biogas processing facility.
USDA Rural Development provides loans and grants to help expand economic opportunities and create jobs in rural areas. This assistance supports infrastructure improvements; business development; housing; community facilities such as schools, public safety and health care; and high-speed internet access in rural areas.
