Investment to Help 1,243 with Vital Equipment for Sustained Growth
STONEVILLE, N.C., September 29, 2020 – The Trump Administration today announced that the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) is investing $376 thousand to purchase industrial and police equipment in rural North Carolina.
“As Stoneville continues to develop it needs the most up-to-date equipment to handle the growth,” said USDA Rural Development State Director Robert Hosford. “Under the leadership of President Trump and Agriculture Secretary Perdue, USDA has been working tirelessly to be a strong partner to rural North Carolina in building stronger and healthier communities, because we know when rural America thrives, all of America thrives.”
In rural North Carolina, Stoneville will use $376 thousand in loans and grants to purchase a new police vehicle, dump truck, backhoe, mini-hoe, and sewer camera.
USDA Rural Development provides loans and grants to help expand economic opportunities and create jobs in rural areas. This assistance supports infrastructure improvements; business development; housing; community facilities such as schools, public safety and health care; and high-speed internet access in rural areas.
