Agriculture Secretary for Rural Development Lisa Mensah announced that the Rural Housing Service (RHS) is soliciting applications for Section 514 Farm Labor Housing (FLH) loans and Section FLH grants to construct new off-farm projects and acquire and rehabilitate non-Rural Development off-farm projects for domestic farm laborers.
The purpose of these loans and grants is to increase the number of available housing units for domestic farm laborers. RHS will publish the amount of funding available for Fiscal Year 2016 on its Website site: http://www.rd.usda.gov/programs-services/farm-labor-housing-direct-loans-grants.
Applications are due April 12, 2016.
