U.S. Dept. of Agriculture Rural Development Acting State Director for Michigan Jason Church today announced a grant presentation for Launch Manistee County at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 22 at The Filmore, 318 River Street, in Manistee.
The funds will be used to help local employers fill job openings through coordination between the business community and local school districts.
The event is open to the public and everyone is welcome to attend.
USDA Rural Development provides loans and grants to help expand economic opportunities and create jobs in rural areas. This assistance supports infrastructure improvements; business development; homeownership; community services such as schools, public safety and health care; and high-speed internet access in rural areas.
