U.S. Dept. of Agriculture Rural Development Acting State Director for Michigan Jason Church today announced a groundbreaking for water and sewer improvements in the Village of Kalkaska at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 10, in front of the National Trout Memorial in downtown Kalkaska.
USDA Rural Development provided $3,948,000 in loans to support the project.
The event is open to the public and everyone is welcome to attend.
USDA Rural Development provides loans and grants to help expand economic opportunities and create jobs in rural areas. This assistance supports infrastructure improvements; business development; homeownership; community services such as schools, public safety and health care; and high-speed internet access in rural areas.
