USDA Announces Homeownership Classes in Escanaba and Sault Ste. Marie

The U.S. Dept. of Agriculture Rural Development will host two free informational sessions for current and potential homeowners in the Upper Peninsula.

The first session takes place on Thursday, June 22, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the MSU Extension office located at 2840 College Ave. in Escanaba.  Speakers include specialists with USDA Rural Development, MSU Extension, a home inspector and a real estate agent.  Attendees are encouraged to RSVP in advance by calling 906-428-1060 ext. 4.

The second session is on Thursday, June 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bayliss Public Library, 541 Library Drive in Sault Ste Marie.  Speakers include USDA Rural Development specialists and a home inspector.  Also attending are representatives from the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians and the Bay Mills Indian Community to discuss their down payment assistance programs.
