U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development Kentucky State Director Travis T. Burton today announced USDA awarded a $476,350 telemedicine grant to Med Center Health.

“Telemedicine is a great advancement in health care delivery for rural Kentucky,” said Burton. “This is a great day for the residents of Warren, Logan, and Todd counties. Thanks to the leadership of President Trump and Secretary Rollins, USDA Rural Development continues to help rural communities improve their overall health through investments like this.”

Med Center Health will use the telemedicine grant to equip one hub site and three end-user sites with two-way audiovisual equipment. The project is expected to benefit over 10,000 people.

“I am glad to see the USDA award Med Center Health nearly $500,000 as a part of the Distance Learning & Telemedicine Grant Program,” said Rep. Brett Guthrie. “Telehealth plays a vital role in delivering health care to our rural communities, and I look forward to seeing this grant funding positively impact the lives of Kentuckians across the Commonwealth.”

During fiscal year 2025, USDA Rural Development awarded over $6.8 million in Kentucky through the Distance Learning and Telemedicine Grant Program. This program helps rural communities leverage technology to overcome distance and low population density to access health care and educational opportunities.
