U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development State Director for Michigan Brandon Fewins today announced $2,983,588 in grants to Thumb area agriculture producers and rural businesses to make investments in renewable energy.
“USDA continues to look for ways to strengthen rural communities and improve energy independence as well as efficiency,” said Fewins. “These projects are part of the largest sustained investment in renewable energy in history.”
The projects are funded through the Rural Energy for America Program. Michigan’s projects are:
