USDA's Rural Housing Program is celebrating Homeownership Month in Elko June 14, with an open house at the Service Center from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Realtors Coffee Hour from 9-10 a.m. will kick off the event with testimonials from local home buyers and real estate professionals who use the USDA Rural Home Loan Program.
The public is invited to come throughout the day to learn about USDA's home loan and repair programs, which can provide 100% home loans with no down payment to eligible home buyers. Staff will be on hand to assist the public with home loan and home repair applications.
"It is a privilege to work with homebuyers and help them achieve their goals of homeownership," said Brad Gallimore, the Rural Housing Program Specialist in Elko. "Many people who might not otherwise afford a home, can afford it with the USDA program. It is inspiring to see their pride of ownership once they are in a home of their own."
Contact Brad Gallimore or Jacque Fender for more information about the homeownership program at (775) 738-8468, Ex. 102. The USDA Service Center is located at 555 W. Silver St.
