USDA Rural Development announces funding of $42,300 to the Lynch Rural Fire District (RFD). Leveraged funds of $29,700 from the RFD and $5,000 from the Village of Lynch will complete the funding needed. The funds will be used to construct an addition to the existing fire barn.
“This project is something that has been in our vision for quite some time and we are pleased that we can partner with the USDA Rural Development team to make this happen,” said David Heiser, Lynch RFD.
“The Rural Fire District is currently housing two of their vehicles in the Village of Lynch’s garage/storage building. This addition will allow the District to bring all of their vehicles under one roof which will improve response time," said Community Programs Specialist Bert Mues, USDA Rural Development.
The project was funded through the USDA Rural Development Community Facility Grant program. For more information contact Bert Mues at 308-237-3118 ext. 1128.
