Celebrating National Small Business Week USDA Rural Development offers programs designed to grow the economic viability of rural communities.
Through the Intermediary Relending Program (IRP), eligible public bodies, non-profits, Federally-recognized Tribes and cooperatives use IRP funds to establish revolving loan funds (RLF) for the purpose of providing loans for business and community development. Loans for eligible rural projects cannot exceed $150,000. Loan funds may be used for most types of businesses, except agricultural production, and for most types of business activities including but not limited to asset acquisition of buildings, machinery, equipment, furniture and fixtures, inventory and working capital. IRP applications are accepted at any time.
To discuss applicant and project eligibility or for more information regarding the IRP program contact Deborah Drbal, Deborah.drbal@ne.usda.gov or 402-437-5558.
