The USDA Rural Development’s Rural Business Development Grant (RBDG) program provides support for rural small businesses. The many uses of RBDG funds and their ability to reach a large number of potential and existing entrepreneurs offers significant opportunities towards the development of small private business enterprises in rural Nebraska.
Eligible applicants for RBDG funding include towns, communities, state agencies, non-profit corporations, Federally-recognized Tribes, and institutions of higher learning. RBDG funds are used by the applicant to assist small and emerging rural businesses with targeted technical assistance, training and training facilities, including commercial kitchens. Funds may also be used to conduct economic development planning and for the establishment of revolving loan funds.
