JACKSON, N.C., June 28, 2022 – USDA Rural Development State Director Reginald Speight and his Single-Family Homes team led a Homeownership Workshop at the North Hampton Culture and Wellness Center in Jackson today.
Rural Development counselors were on hand to assist attendees with:
• Requirements for USDA homeownership and repair programs.
• Learning the difference between Rural Development loan and grant programs.
• Assistance in applying for Rural Development Programs.
“We are here to help our rural population gain access to our programs and take advantage of the benefits afforded to them,” said Rural Development State Director Reginald Speight. “I realize the application process for USDA assistance can be daunting. My Team is here to assist in education and application.”
The event wraps up national Homeownership Month. For the past month North Carolina Rural Development focused its outreach on ways it works with lenders and community partners to open the door to homeownership in North Carolina.
