In Nevada, USDA's Rural Housing Program Director Jeff Glass recently announced the agency has increased income eligibility limits in a few rural areas of the state.
"June is homeownership month, and there is no better time for rural Nevadans to learn about programs available to assist them," Glass said. "The 2017 Income Limits for the Single Family Direct Loan and Grant Programs were published in mid-May and income limits in a few areas of the state have been increased," Glass said.
For example, In Humboldt County and White Pine County, income limits have increased for moderate-income homebuyers. That means a family of four in Winnemucca with household income of $88,100 is eligible to apply for a Rural Housing Home Loan, and in Eureka a similar sized family can earn as much as $90,500 and be eligible.
Rural Housing Program staff will be presenting information on the "Keys to Homeownership" throughout June in support of homeownership month. With offices in Elko, Fallon, Carson City, and Las Vegas, information is readily available. For more information go to https://www.rd.usda.gov/nv
