USDA Rural Development Area Director, Kelly Gregory, today recognized a homeowner in celebration of National Homeownership Month. Rural Development presented a certificate to Robert and David Louthan in acknowledgement of their success at achieving the dream of homeownership.

“In rural communities, finding a home with the necessary accommodations can be difficult. What is needed is a well maintained and adequate home that families can be proud to call their own,” said Mr. Gregory. “Robert and David are a great example of what it means to achieve the American Dream of homeownership. We are proud to be a part of their success.”

Robert is the single father of David, his 39 year old son who works for Bates County Industries.  Together, they make a great team and have worked very hard to overcome adversity.  With the help of Rural Development’s Single Family Housing Program, The Louthan’s are able to own a home that meets their needs.
