Valerie Jensen Joins USDA Rural Development

Bruce Jones, United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development South Dakota Acting State Director today announced that Valerie Jensen has joined the South Dakota USDA Rural Development team and will be stationed in the Aberdeen Office.   

“Valerie brings a wealth of community experience to the Agency and it will be advantageous to her has she assists with carrying out our mission to bring economic opportunity and enhanced quality of life to rural communities and residents,” said Jones.

Jensen holds a degree in Professional Accountancy from Northern State University.  Her prior experience includes working two and half years at the Hopfinger & Merriman, Ltd. accounting firm and eight years at Northeast Council of Governments in Aberdeen. 

“I’m glad to be a part of the South Dakota team and look forward to the opportunity to share my knowledge and expertise,” said Jensen.
