USDA Rural Development has awarded $27,000 to Webster County for the purchase of a new ambulance for the Blue Hill Ambulance District. Webster County leveraged $157,000 towards the purchase.
“All the EMT’s are very conscious of the jobs that they do. The new ambulance will assist them in serving the surrounding county. Thank you to the USDA!,” said County Clerk Deb Klingenberger, Webster County.
“USDA is pleased to assist the County with the purchase of a new ambulance. Dependability of ambulatory services is critical, it could mean saving a life. Rural Development strives to assist rural areas in meeting their infrastructure’s needs,” said Community Programs Specialist Bert Mues, USDA Rural Development.

Under the President’s leadership, these investments in housing, community facilities, businesses and infrastructure have empowered rural America to continue leading the way – strengthening America’s economy, small towns and rural communities. USDA’s investments in rural communities support the rural way of life that stands as the backbone of our American values.
