For years, Mrs. Perez has called the beautiful town of Arecibo home. As the proud owner of Patriarca, a beloved artisanal shop in the community, she has always poured her heart into serving her neighbors. Yet despite her hard work and dedication, she continued to live in a rented house, holding onto a long-standing dream of one day owning a home she could truly call her own.

That dream began to take shape the day she visited the USDA Rural Development field office in Camuy, Puerto Rico. There, she met with Loan Specialist Mr. Gonzalez, who guided her through the Section 502 Direct Loan Program. He explained the process in detail, answered her questions, and provided the support she needed to take the next step. Mrs. Perez left the office with a renewed sense of hope, feeling that homeownership was truly within her reach.

On January 23, 2026, she officially began her application. From that moment forward, her case was worked diligently and with care, leading to her loan approval on April 29, 2026. Just a few weeks later, on June 9, 2026, her loan closed successfully.

Today, Mrs. Perez is the proud owner of her first home, a milestone she has dreamed of for many years. Thanks to the support of USDA Rural Development and the 502 Direct Loan program, she now enjoys the stability, pride, and peace of mind that comes with homeownership.
