COLUMBIA, MO, Oct. 21, 2020 – The Trump Administration, along with Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development State Director for Missouri Jeff Case, today announced that the USDA is awarding $53,200 to Lewis County C-1 School District to add an electric school bus to its fleet.

The Trump Administration today announced that the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) is investing $5,434,400 to help eight essential community facilities in rural Maine. This investment will serve an estimated 730,796 people.

Rural School District Sprints to the Finish Line with Major Track Repair

In the rural town of Mapleton in western Oregon, students attend high school on a campus sandwiched between the Siuslaw River on one side and the Coast Range on the other. Nestled in the forest, the high school track is distinctive with its triangular shape and 300-meter length. It was built to fit the available space within the confines of these natural barriers on the school’s campus. For years, the school could not host meets for the local track and field league because its track did not conform with the national criteria for record setting.

USDA Community Facilities Funding Benefits Ohio Fire District, Schools

Ohio Rural Development State Director David L. Hall today announced three U.S. Department of Agriculture Community Facilities program investments totaling more than $65 million that will help offset the cost of new construction at Tiffin-based Heidelberg University, the Bascom Joint Fire District in Seneca County, and Geauga County’s Berkshire School District.
