Beaufort County Community College serves a rural population of traditional and high school students who are all working towards a degree.

The barriers of the miles of ocean and remote locations keep others from visiting their home campus.

With the assistance of a $329 thousand Distance Learning and Telemedicine Grant from USDA Rural Development BCCC is closing boundaries of remote learning.

Farm thrives, bolsters other local farmers during coronavirus pandemic  

For Shelly Oswald, owner of Old Time Farm in Stoneboro, Pa., the novel coronavirus pandemic illustrates the vital role small, local agriculture producers play in safeguarding food security during a disaster. The pandemic caused nationwide delays in the shipping of goods to American households. Local farmers like Shelly were crucial in helping fill this gap by getting healthy food to Pennsylvania families.

East Kentucky Power Cooperative, Inc proposes to rebuild 20.7 miles of the 69 kV McCreary County Junction to Kentucky Utilities Wofford transmission line.  The proposed project will be located in McCreary and Whitley counties, Kentucky.
