As of June 2026, approximately 9,000 biobased products in more than 200 product categories have received certification to display the USDA Certified Biobased Product label. Certified products include construction, cleaning, automotive, lubricants, and personal care products that consumers use every day.

To locate USDA Certified Biobased Products, try one of the options listed below.

  1. Find USDA Certified Biobased Products at your local retailer or service provider. The label should help identify USDA Certified Biobased Products.
  2. Request that your local retailer or service provider carry and/or use USDA Certified Biobased Products. For example, ask your automotive service provider to offer USDA Certified Biobased motor oil and lubricant selections.
  3. Search the USDA BioPreferred® Program Catalog for information on USDA Certified Biobased Products available for purchase. This Catalog assists users to identify USDA Certified Biobased Products whose biobased contents have been third-party tested and verified. Although you cannot purchase a product directly from this Catalog, sourcing information such as product details and the company website are provided.
