Rural Development’s $950 thousand investment will assist rural communities capabilities in first response situations

PROSPECT HILL & CORNWALL, N.C., January 23, 2026 — U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development State Director for North Carolina Robert Hosford announced USDA funding for firetrucks in Prospect Hill and Cornwall today.

U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development Kentucky State Director Travis T. Burton today announced USDA awarded a $476,350 telemedicine grant to Med Center Health.

“Telemedicine is a great advancement in health care delivery for rural Kentucky,” said Burton. “This is a great day for the residents of Warren, Logan, and Todd counties. Thanks to the leadership of President Trump and Secretary Rollins, USDA Rural Development continues to help rural communities improve their overall health through investments like this.”

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Jan. 21, 2026 – U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development Tennessee State Director Patrick Jaynes today announced the state office has $3 million available in grant funding to provide relief to homeowners affected by Hurricane Helene.

CLINTON, N.C., January 21, 2026 — The U.S. Department of Agriculture has invested $2.3 million through a Rural Development Community Facilities Grant to build a 10,000 square foot expansion to Activities Building at Sampson Community College.
