USDA Rural Development Celebrates New Permanent Rural Health Clinic in the Town of Paxton

(Gainesville, Fla., May 19, 2026) –U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development Florida State Director MaryAnn Pistilli today celebrates completed construction of a health clinic in rural Walton County, made possible with USDA funds. 

The Town of Paxton received a $679,500 grant through USDA Rural Development’s Community Facilities Programs funding to construct a new permanent healthcare facility serving the northernmost area of Walton County.

USDA Invests $406,000 toward the Ambulance Replacement Initiative in Dade County, Georgia

(Trenton, Ga., May 28, 2026) – U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development Georgia State Director Joyce White today announced a $406,000.00 grant to replace two ambulances in Dade County, Georgia. The project was funded through Congressionally Directed Spending with USDA’s Community Facilities Grant Program.

Investment will Enhance Services for Nearly 4,000 People

(Stevens Point, Wis., July 6, 2026) – U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development Wisconsin State Director Andrew C. Iverson announced today that the agency is awarding the city of Lancaster with a $1.125 million grant to renovate its existing fire and rescue station. The building is the headquarters for the Lancaster Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services. Nearly 4,000 rural Wisconsinites will benefit from the project.

A Rural Coffee Shop Owner Receives Technical Assistance and Training through USDA-Funded Program

At just 19 years old, Chloe Genske has already celebrated one year of owning the coffee shop where she used to be an employee during high school.

When the owner of The Daily Drip in Shawano decided to sell the business, Chloe jumped at the chance to own her own business.  

“I couldn't stop thinking about it,” said Chloe. “I was 18, fresh out of high school, it was a scary thought, and it was a big risk, but risks are worth taking. I had always wanted to be a business owner. I just didn't know what that would look like for me.”
