USDA Invests in Seven Projects to Boost Rural Oregon Agriculture and Business

PORTLAND, Ore., Dec. 10, 2025 – USDA Rural Development Oregon State Director Jim Carmack today announced USDA is investing $532,000 in seven organizations supporting agriculture and small businesses development in rural Oregon. 

“Oregon’s cities and towns have great plans for their futures,” said Carmack. “These investments in many ways represent the start of big things to come and we are proud to have a part in encouraging overall economic vibrance throughout rural Oregon.”

USDA Rural Development Invests $4.7 Million to Safeguard Water and Improve Healthcare in Rural Iowa

Impacts in Crawford, Fayette, Pottawattamie, Taylor and Wayne counties

DES MOINES, Iowa, Dec. 10, 2025 – U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development’s Iowa State Director Michael Sexton today announced that the agency is awarding a total of $4,720,000 for three projects to safeguard drinking water and two projects to improve hospital facilities and obstetrical services.

Secretary Rollins Announces Major Investment for Rural Communities Across Georgia

(Byron, GA, December 5, 2025) – Today in Georgia, U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke L. Rollins announced $501 million in investments for 59 rural development projects and an additional $405 million in affordable housing in communities across the state of Georgia. These unprecedented investments, coordinated by U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development (RD), will help boost Georgia’s economy, develop rural infrastructure, and encourage private investment in America’s heartland.

USDA Rural Development Invests $3.6 Million to Support Small Business Projects and Improve Emergency Services in Rural Iowa

Impacts in Butler, Carroll, Decatur, and Webster counties

DES MOINES, Iowa, Dec. 4, 2025 – U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development Deputy State Director in Iowa Henry Kummerer today announced that the Agency is investing in six projects in Iowa including three loans totaling $3,000,000 and three grants totaling $683,333. Five of the projects support small business expansion and one project will improve fire and emergency service.

USDA announces disaster recovery water grant in Jenkins

U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development Kentucky State Director Travis T. Burton and U.S. Congressman Hal Rogers announced USDA is investing over $5.2 million here.

“Rome wasn’t built in a day, and Eastern Kentucky won’t be rebuilt overnight,” said Burton. “But thanks to the leadership of President Trump and Secretary Rollins, projects like this will help it happen faster. At USDA Rural Development, we’re so proud to announce this funding to help with such a meaningful project.”

USDA announces grant for 2 sheriff vehicles

U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development Kentucky State Director Travis T. Burton and U.S. Congressman Hal Rogers today announced USDA is investing $39,900 in Johnson County.

“Those who live, work, and play in Johnson County should have the same level of public services as those who live in more suburban and urban areas of the Commonwealth,” said Burton. “Thanks to the leadership of President Trump and Secretary Rollins, USDA Rural Development is proud to partner with the fiscal court in an effort to get two additional vehicles on the road to help keep the county safe.”
