USDA is seeking applications for the Rural Business Development Grant (RBDG) Program, previously known as Rural Business Enterprise Grant (RBEG) and Rural Business Opportunity Grant (RBOG) programs. Applications for Minnesota projects are due by close of business on April 14, 2017.
The Department of Agriculture today announced a $99,500 grant award to assist the City of Clarkesville in renovations of fire damaged buildings at the Historic downtown Clarkesville Town Square. The project will provide business space to new or returning small business enterprises and create or bring back jobs that were displaced as a result of the fire.

U.S. Dept. of Agriculture Rural Development State Director for Michigan James J. Turner today joined local officials to celebrate the grand opening of the farmer’s market pavilion in De Tour Village.
“Farmers markets play a key role in developing local and regional food systems that support farmers and help grow rural economies,” said Turner. “They bring people together, connect communities and provide Americans with fresh, affordable, convenient, and healthy products from local producers.”
USDA Rural Development State Director Virginia Manuel has announced that five Maine organizations will receive a total of $290,000 in Rural Business Development Grants to help create jobs and economic growth across the state.
