West Holt Memorial Hospital is a 17 bed Critical Access Hospital. West Holt Medical Services includes the hospital, two clinics, and four providers. Many portions of this hospital have not been renovated since the 1970s. A USDA Rural Development loan of $1,294,500 was used to renovate approximately 9,628 square feet of existing space. Improvements and additions included roof repair, parking lot repaving, equipment and installation of fire sprinklers. The nurse’s station was expanded as it lacked the necessary privacy for the compliance and protection of health care information under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
“We are excited offering a facility that is updated to ensure patients’ and their family’s comfort and safety in all private rooms,” said Chief Executive Officer Michael Coyle, West Holt Memorial Hospital. “The renovation allowed us to accommodate our patients’ diverse needs close to home with one of the nicest, patient friendly facilities in North Central Nebraska.”
