When Carol Lynn Lapotka purchased an historic building on Polson, Mont.'s Main Street to house REcreate Designs, LLC., her small-batch manufacturing plant and artist co-op, she knew renovations would be needed.  So, this environmentally-focused entrepreneur applied for USDA Rural Energy for America Program grants to upgrade the windows and install new doors and lighting.

That sentiment was the foundation for the past four years of hard work done by the Montezuma County Historical Society Board.

A ground-breaking ceremony was held on June 1, 2021 for the expansion of the Sandhills Medical Foundation Inc. (SMF) facility located in Lugoff, S.C.  Local leaders and members of the Foundation gathered at the site to celebrate the official ground-breaking for the nearly 13,000 sq. ft. expansion along with a much needed 125kw backup electricity generator.
