Ralls County Electric’s Vision for a Stronger, Smarter Grid
Ralls County Electric Cooperative (RCEC), serving parts of five counties in northeast Missouri, is focused on bringing reliable and modern electric services to its rural members. As a small rural cooperative, RCEC has faced unique challenges in maintaining and upgrading its infrastructure. To help tackle these challenges, the cooperative has turned to Rural Development’s Rural Utilities Service (RUS) Electric Infrastructure Loan & Loan Guarantee Program.
Bancroft Solar
The Bancroft Solar Project (“Project”) is a proposed 3-megawatt solar photovoltaic facility located on a~76-acre parcel in the Southeast Quarter of Section 30, Township 103 North, Range 21 West, Bancroft Township, Freeborn County, Minnesota that has been previously disturbed for agriculture activities. The current site is a flat, open field that would require minimal grading. The disturbance of land would be limited to the approximately 20-acre Project area during construction.
USDA Delivers Immediate Relief to Farmers, Ranchers and Rural Communities Impacted by Recent Disasters
FARGO, ND, April 22, 2025—Today, U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins announced $340.6 million in U.S. Department of Agriculture disaster assistance to deliver relief to farmers, ranchers and rural communities impacted by natural disasters that have caused devastation across the country. In support of President Trump’s January executive order, Secretary Rollins is delivering critical aid through the USDA Disaster Assistance Fund to provide immediate relief to communities.

Keeping A Roof Over Head for A Family In Their Forever Home
In a situation all too familiar for Wyoming residents, Mildred had shingles blowing off her roof from the Wyoming wind. She has lived in her Washakie County home for more than 20 years with her son and dogs, creating a forever home that she is proud of. The roof was last replaced in 2008 and in dire need of replacement once again. Occasionally, it would leak after a rain or snow storm. But Mildred’s fixed income limited her ability to hire a contractor to replace the roof without financial assistance.
