Richard Mayfield

Richard Mayfield returns to the role of State Director for USDA Rural Development in New York, bringing more than thirty years of Federal, State and Local government experience. Most recently, Mayfield served as the Director of Central Services for Dutchess County. Mayfield has extensive experience in government and economic development having served as the Director of Inter-Governmental Relations with the New York State Assembly in Albany. Prior to that role, Mayfield worked as Orange County’s Director of Operations, Press Secretary and Director of Community Development. Mayfield began his career in public service with Congressman Benjamin A. Gilman (ret) serving as Case Worker, Office Manager, Director of Grants and Projects and ultimately District Director.
