Patrick Suprunowicz
State Director of USDA Rural Development in Vermont and New Hampshire
Raised in the White Mountains of New Hampshire by a hard-working single Mother, State Director Patrick Suprunowicz has a sincere passion to serve his neighbors that is borne of the resilience, persistence and confidence he learned early on. Various jobs in Waterville area tourism defined his youth, serving to produce a head-down work ethic and head-first approach to overcoming obstacles. His academic career through New Hampton School in New Hampshire, and High Point University in North Carolina, was illuminated by entrepreneurial ventures, among them an apparel company aimed at supporting our nation’s Veterans.
As an emerging service and sales professional in Naples, Fla., Suprunowicz oversaw the construction and management of upscale auto/lifestyle garage units that doubled as quick-reaction storage solutions during emergency situations; worked as a community volunteer and advocate to promote children’s health and recreation; conducted events and fundraisers on behalf of the American Heart Association and local public-safety departments; and kept working throughout the pandemic by managing resort activities in one of the few continuously operating locations in the country. In North Carolina, he worked for companies like Apex, Terracon Engineering and AVA (Apartment Virtual Assistant), where he developed a versatile understanding of the interplay and activity between financial institutions and their various housing, business and municipal clients, making him a natural leader for the position of RD State Director.
Suprunowicz lives in Meredith with his wife and their two dogs. When he isn’t dedicating his time and energy to making the lives of rural Granite and Green Mountain Staters more rewarding and more affordable, he’s on a lake, up a trail, down a mountain, or in the crowd, passionately cheering on New England area sports teams.
