Thomas Harrison

Thomas "Tyler" Harrison serves as the Wyoming Rural Development State Director, bringing a distinguished background in public service and leadership to the role. In this capacity, he is dedicated to fostering economic development and improving the quality of life for rural Wyoming communities.

Most recently, Tyler served as the Field Representative and Veteran’s Liaison for Congresswoman Harriet Hageman, WY-AL, where he advocated for the needs of Wyoming residents and veterans. His extensive career also includes over 25 years of honorable service in the U.S. Coast Guard as an intelligence officer and project manager. During his military tenure, he led multi-agency programs, intelligence operations, and complex projects both within the United States and abroad.

A proud fourth-generation Wyomingite, born in Sheridan, Tyler is deeply committed to the prosperity and well-being of his home state. He holds a master’s degree in International Relations and Conflict Resolution from American Military University and a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Chapman University. Outside of his professional life, Tyler enjoys fishing, boating, shooting, and spending time with his wife, Kim Harrison, their three children, and two grandchildren.
