The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development and four partner organizations are accepting applications from rural communities and regions for technical assistance to implement economic development planning projects.
Successful applicants will receive free technical assistance to help create and implement rural economic development plans. Applications will be scored, reviewed, and selected on a competitive basis by USDA and its four partners. Rural communities with a population of 50,000 or less are eligible to apply.
USDA is partnering with the National Association of Counties, Rural Community Assistance Partnership, McClure Engineering Company, and Purdue University Extension/Community and Economic Development Initiative of Kentucky to provide this technical assistance as part of the Rural Economic Development Innovation (REDI) initiative.
You are invited to join Rural Development to learn more about this initiative during a webinar scheduled for Tuesday, February 12, 2019, at 10:00 am Pacific Time. Register online today.
The deadline to apply is April 5, 2019. For more information or to request an application, contact the Rural Development Innovation Center at rd.innovation@osec.usda.gov.
