Greentree Mortgage Receives Gold Lender of the Year for Fourth Year in a Row

MOUNT LAUREL NJ, Sept. 7, 2022- USDA Rural Development State Director, Jane Asselta is pleased to recognize New Jersey’s top three Lenders of the Year for the Single-Family Housing Guaranteed Loan Program. In FY 2021, Rural Development assisted 641 homeowners for a total of more than $129,678,201invested in quality housing in New Jersey.

“Our lenders are partners in helping USDA Rural Development connect homebuyers to our housing programs, which make buying a home in rural New Jersey more affordable,” said Asselta.  “Homeownership is vital to the health of rural towns and allows families to establish roots in their community, raise a family, and build generational wealth.”

USDA Rural Development in New Jersey presented awards to:

  1. Gold Lender of the Year 2022 - Greentree Mortgage Company, based in Gibbsboro, New Jersey.  This is the fourth year in a row that Greentree has been awarded Lender of the Year.   Greentree helped 54 families and individuals in FY 21 to buy homes in New Jersey, totaling $10,423,432.

 

  1. Silver Lender of the Year 2022 - American Neighborhood Mortgage Acceptance Company (Annie-Mac) based in Mt. Laurel, NJ.  Annie-Mac helped 36 families and individuals in FY 21 to buy homes in New Jersey, totaling $8,178,455.

 

  1. Bronze Lender of the Year 2022 - Finance of America Mortgage, based in Horsham, PA.  Finance of America helped 27 families and individuals in FY 21 to buy homes in New Jersey, totaling $4,694,143.

Our Single Family Housing Guaranteed Loan Program helps lenders work with low and moderate income households living in rural areas to make homeownership a reality. Potential applicants may purchase, build, rehabilitate, improve, or relocate a dwelling in an eligible rural area. The program provides a 90% loan note guarantee to approved lenders to reduce the risk of extending 100% loans to eligible rural homebuyers.


Providing affordable homeownership opportunities promotes prosperity, which in turn creates thriving communities and improves the quality of life in rural areas.
