We are currently reviewing new loan applications and conditions received on or before 10/13/2021
USDA will require the new URLA beginning June 1, 2021
USDA will continue to accept either the old URLA version or the new URLA for loans submitted to Rural Development through May 31, 2021.
Beginning June 1, 2021, USDA will require the redesigned Uniform Residential Loan Application (URLA) (Fannie Mae Form 1003/Freddie Mac Form 65, effective date 1/2021) for all new loan submissions. All SFHGLP Loan requests utilizing the old URLA version must be submitted to Rural Development prior to June 1, 2021.
Lenders are encouraged to monitor their pipeline to ensure the new URLA is utilized for any loan that might not be submitted to USDA by May 31, 2021. Loans submitted with the expired 1003 loan application beginning June 1, 2021 will be considered incomplete and USDA will not process the loan request until the new version of the URLA for the applicant(s) is received.

USDA Rural Development’s Guaranteed Loan Program assists approved lenders in providing up to 100% financing for eligible borrowers (households that do not exceed 115% of the Median Household Income ) purchasing homes in eligible rural areas. We now have Single Close Construction-to-Permanent Financing! A single-close loan combines the features of a construction loan and a long-term permanent mortgage. Since there is only one closing, which can save considerable closing costs, the loan is considered a purchase transaction by the agency. The loan note guarantee may be issued once the interim construction loan is closed without waiting for the completion of the property.
