Robert Hosford
Rural Development North Carolina State Director
Robert Hosford returns to the position of State Director for Rural Development in North Carolina. He previously held the position during President Trump’s first term.
Hosford served as the Chief Executive Officer of the North Carolina Agricultural Finance Authority before returning to USDA Rural Development.
He served as the Assistant Director of the North Carolina Department of Agriculture in the International Marketing and Intergovernmental Affairs Divisions.
President George W. Bush appointed Hosford to the role of Chief of Staff for the USDA Farm Service Agency.
Hosford joined the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association in Ft. Worth, Texas as the Director of Government Relations and Public Affairs.
He began his professional career advocating on behalf of the beef industry with the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association in Washington, D.C.
Hosford earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Mississippi State University.
He achieveid a Texas Agricultural Lifetime Leadership Certificate from Texas A&M in 2001.
