The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) today announced the 2023 Top Lender of the Year Awards in Pennsylvania. These lenders helped rural families and individuals buy homes throughout the Commonwealth last year through USDA Rural Development’s Single Family Housing Guaranteed Loan Program.
The top five lenders in Pennsylvania are:
1. Jersey Shore State Bank
2. Guild Mortgage Company
3. Equity Resources
4. First Commonwealth Bank
5. Cross Country Mortgage
The agency also presented a 2023 Top Local Lending Partner Champion award to Jersey Shore State Bank, who placed third nationally.
“We believe at USDA that our lending partners open the door to homeownership for rural Americans, help strengthen communities, provide stability for families, and an opportunity for them to build generational wealth,” State Director for USDA Rural Development Bob Morgan said.
In fiscal year 2022, USDA Rural Development invested a combined $411 million in rural Pennsylvania through its single-family housing programs. This year more than $184 million has been invested.
USDA is a proud partner to all lenders who work with the agency to support rural homeownership. Since January 2021, the Biden Harris Administration has invested almost $34 billion to help more than 188,275 people in rural and tribal communities buy and build homes through the Single Family Housing Guaranteed Loan Program.
