Eric Koan
State Director of Alaska
Eric Koan has been a dedicated advocate for rural America throughout his career. He earned a degree in Agribusiness Management from Michigan State University in 2002 and soon after began a 17-year tenure with USDA Rural Development. His work spanned multiple states, beginning in Michigan and later continuing in Alaska, where he gained extensive experience across nearly every program within the Rural Development portfolio. A U.S. Air Force veteran, Koan brings a strong sense of service and leadership to every role he undertakes.
