USDA Makes Grants Available to Help People in Rural Alaska Repair Their Homes Damaged By Storms, Fire, and a Landslide in 2022

U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development Alaska State Director Julia Hnilicka today announced the availability of grants to help people repair their homes that were damaged by natural disasters in 2022.

The homes must be located in presidentially declared disaster areas. People living in the Bering Strait, Denali, Kenai Peninsula, Matanuska-Susitna, and Yukon-Koyukuk regions in Alaska may be eligible for this funding.

HURON, S.D., March. 28, 2023 – U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development South Dakota State Director Nikki Gronli today announced the availability of grants to help people repair their homes that were damaged by severe storms in 2022.

The homes must be located in presidentially declared disaster areas. People living in 34 counties and two Indian Reservations in South Dakota may be eligible for the funding.
